LB Steak

3.5 stars. Normally I'd rate LB a 4 though. My last visit in a big group the food was not up to par. Steaks were over cooked. The service was great though. And its bar is well stocked with some very top shelf selections. Would come back but probably in smaller group so meals would be cooked / managed with better attention.

Very famous steak house in San Jose, located right at the beginning of Santana row.Meat is excellent and so are vegetables and wine selection.Service was rather low, hence disappointing given the level of the restaurant.Worth going if you are looking for high quality meat.

The ambience was amazing! Loved the food and service was great. Definitely coming back here.

ambience was really nice, waiter was super friendly, asked for steak rare but it was more on the blue rare side and fat was not rendered all the way. should have known it's difficult to get exactly right since it's the big tomahawk for 2 but if its $120 and precut before serving, you would think the kitchen would catch it. truffle fries and bone marrow bread was SO good.

I take my family to this nice place quite a bit! This is my favorite place to to have a good dinner. I visit this spot routinely. The cooking is very good, the staff is helpful and the price is reasonable. I enjoy meeting in this spot for a tasty supper.

One of the better steakhouses in the South Bay. Great service, cosy ambiance, and lots of choices. They will give you a free dessert if you are celebrating which is always a nice touch at these upscale places. They have a wide selection of steak cuts, aged meat, and sauces. The cowboy steak comes with different salts and is topped with wagyu butter. It is one of our favorites. Steaks are usually cooked perfectly. For the sides we always get the macaroni and cheese. It has a wonderful bread crust and is perfectly creamy. The mushrooms are another good addition to add some earthy flavors. We got the onion rings the last time and they were not very good. Our batch looked appetizing, but were not very crispy and lacked flavor. The have an extensive wine list as well as cocktails. The service has always been great. Bathrooms are clean. Overall this is a great place for steak, but doesn't have the extra something special to give it 5 stars.

This is a place that was on the list to try in Santana Row. So glad we did! We sat outside because it was a gorgeous day...The service was outstanding and the food was so good! The steak was absolutely delicious, one of the best! We asked the server what dessert to try and he suggested the raspberry ice cream and it was so fresh and phenomenal! We will definitely be coming back.

Excellent place to grab a great steak for lunch (or dinner). Fast and courteous service and amazing food. Definitely worth a visit and very reasonable price for the food you get.

I just ordered the steak salad, it was BOMB but 4 the price of it, should have been at least a few more strips of steak in my damn salad....

I had the Waygu steak and it was something amazing. Medium well a little red and juicy just like most of us steak lovers like. The side of finger licking potatoes were just the right amount of crispy. Prices are definitely not for the faint of heart but if you love a good steak worth every penny.

Went with a group, we ordered a variety of plates, and not a single one was off, this is the kind of dining where you can never go wrong whatever you choose! The Fillet mignon was perfectly cooked, juicy tender meat, melts in your mouth, and the crab cakes were spot on, and finally the molten cake to seal the deal

Wonderful spot for a delicious steak. I had a new steak for LB (note: the pictures of menus here are dated as they changed yesterday). It was good and unique. The aging gave a different flavor profile. The server,who was great warned me. +1 to many of the prior comments. The food is a bit salty and the reving motors get old. The creme brulee is wonderful but not still warm from flame so not sure if freshly done. The vanilla flavors were wonderful.

Special food of course special price😜I had a " Cowboy Steak" with "Marrow bone" which was fantastic. Awesome crew and very very very friendly. April was who helped me and her choice for food was fantastic. Thank you April. The place is highly recommended specially when you want to take your fiance or your wife out for dinner or for purpose.

Just left this place. I don’t want to wait to get home to leave a review; I want to leave now, lol. The best restaurant in Santana Row, that’s for sure! Take my word and thank me later... The food is amazing, the restaurant is nice and the service is excellent. My waitress (Katelyn) was very professional and nice. I will be back soon!!! Two thumbs up!!!

We had a great time here ~ little bit pricey but totally worth it

This is my third time here and they keep being amazing. Food is top. Service is really good. Place is beautiful inside and outside. They are pet friendly. My only disappointment the Mac and cheese. The rest of the food was great. Price is fine for what you received.

So good. Came for Valentine's Day and had the most delicious 4 course meal. Everything was excellent so absolutely no complaints. Steak was tender and flavorful with 3 different types of sauces , chocolate dessert was bliss, just an endless list of options for wine, drinks, complimentary bread (jalapeño cornbread, cheese bread, and plain I believe). Ambience is dark and romantic. Perfect for a dinner date or business meal.

Came here after a work event to eat. Food was great! I ordered a bone marrow and scallop appetizer, and a ribeye with a side of mushrooms. I was able to share these with 3 others and get pretty full. We ended up ordering 3 desserts as well and that gold dusted Elvis-brownie-ice cream-bacon dessert was so extravagant! The cavity I got from it was so worth it.... Service was top notch too!

Really awesome steaks. Even at medium, they can be melt in your mouth tender. The sides are always cooked perfectly and the service is top notch. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Santana Row and I always bring friends and family here. Haven't had anyone complain yet

Nice place. Menu is little limited and Steak quality wasn't the best. However overall good experience. Ambience is good for business meetings. Service was Ok. For the price I expect little better quality and service. If I compare this place with Morton's, Ruth Chris or Donovan I will would prefer any of these over LB steak. Had fun though.

Great dining experience. Food here is amazing as well as the service. My family and I have been here multiple times and have always enjoyed. Servers really know how to take care of the diners. Also, the location is a plus. It's always nice to walk around Santana Row after a good meal.

Very pleasant experience. Attentive waitress. Shockingly not crowded during our Saturday noon lunch visit. I ordered the Butternut Squash soup. Wish I hadn't. It arrived lukewarm and was pretty bland. Love the choices of free bread; jalapeno cornbread, olive bread & others. I enjoyed the Wedge Salad totally. Waitress heard us mention we were celebrating our friend's birthday and brought a complementary celebratory dessert for the three of us at the end of the meal, which was a very nice surprise.**UPDATE: Our server/waitress' name was Felicia! She knows her stuff👍💐

This place gives awesome service and delicious food. One of the best place in town. The drinks and food served fast and the prices were fair. I recommend this place.

Outstanding service in an upscale steak house, LB has little for the vegetarians, including myself, but will definitely appeal to the meat eater. Portions are small and a la carte and definitely on the pricey side, but the quality is excellent. The peppers appetizer was good, but not great; I wasn't a fan of the dipping sauce and they were a bit oily. The bread tray was a nice treat. The cocktail also was fair, but not great compared to many other restaurants and bars around town. The side dish of a potato gratin was superb.

Was able to book on open table on a Thursday night an hour before our desired time. Ambience is busy but fun and lively. Service was good. Food was above average, good for steakhouse vibe.

Dry aged ribeye. And they have one of the best happy hour steakhouse burgers around here. Plus, for a steakhouse, they open earlier than 5pm which is great in my book.
